DESCRIPTION:Qigong\, one of the branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine\, is a movement practice that can help us to cultivate our energy\, learn to protect it\, and how to use it responsibly as we walk through the world.  \nEach week\, our Qigong practice will focus on helping us clear away old stories and patterns that may be stored in our bodies\, and loosening the grip they may have on us. We will also focus on how to set energetic boundaries around us so that we may be more present\, energetic\, and engaged with the world around us. You will learn energy hygiene practices and embodiment practices that you can take home with you to benefit your overall vitality and longevity.  \nAs an intention-based movement practice\, Qigong feels like a meditation in motion. The postures and movements are appropriate for various levels of ability and can be done seated or standing. It’s a beautiful exercise that can bring us into our bodies without force\, and is an excellent option for those who would like to meditate in a different setting than a seated practice. \nWear flowing and comfortable clothing that is ready for movement.

DESCRIPTION:It’s simple.–  If you can walk you can urban pole!!!  Why not join Urban Poling Instructor\, Marilyn Farnworth\, for an invigorating walk outside and get some fresh air and sunshine (Vitamin D) at the same time??!! \nUrban Poling/Nordic Walking helps you burn more calories\, engages your core muscles and your upper body\, while reducing impact on your lower joints and enhancing your body’s natural fat burning capabilities.  \nWalking with urban poles gives you more than 1800 ab contractions per mile walked and increases your caloric output up to 45% over regular walking.  It uses 90% of your muscles including chest\, upper body core and arms\, especially your triceps. It also improves your posture. Why not maximize your time??!!—30 minutes of urban poling equals 50 minutes of walking. \nThe unique strapless ergonomic handle design combined with the proper Rutlin Technique will help you reach your weight loss and fitness goals faster\, easier and with less effort. \nClasses will incorporate proper technique\, warm ups and cool downs with the poles and stimulating walks outside.  Make sure you dress appropriately for the weather\, wear comfortable walking shoes\, suntan lotion\, and bring your water bottle. DESCRIPTION:Qigong\, one of the branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine\, is a movement practice that can help us to cultivate our energy\, learn to protect it\, and how to use it responsibly as we walk through the world.  \nEach week\, our Qigong practice will focus on helping us clear away old stories and patterns that may be stored in our bodies\, and loosening the grip they may have on us. We will also focus on how to set energetic boundaries around us so that we may be more present\, energetic\, and engaged with the world around us. You will learn energy hygiene practices and embodiment practices that you can take home with you to benefit your overall vitality and longevity.  \nAs an intention-based movement practice\, Qigong feels like a meditation in motion. The postures and movements are appropriate for various levels of ability and can be done seated or standing. It’s a beautiful exercise that can bring us into our bodies without force\, and is an excellent option for those who would like to meditate in a different setting than a seated practice. \nWear flowing and comfortable clothing that is ready for movement.
