Myofascial Massage is a treatment used for more chronic injury where scar tissue has formed causing range of motion problems and pain.  No oil is applied for most of the treatment, stretching and trigger point therapy are used. It can be an intense treatment so communication needs to be well maintained throughout the treatment.  The technique is repeated until the therapist feels a release or the area is more pliable.  The therapist then uses last 5-10 minutes of the treatment to calm and soothe the areas using gentle strokes. Drinking an ample amount of water and Epsom salt bath are recommended post treatment.

This is a form of gentle  manipulation of the skin and soft tissues which encourages lymph drainage throughout the body.
