For over 20 years, I have been using a holistic approach to teach people how to get the most out of life through the understanding and utilization of their bodies.
My health and wellness journey began at a young age, when I started martial arts training. Through years of dedicated practice as a student, and eventually as a teacher, I learned the importance of technique and movement efficiency in completing a task. My fascination with optimizing movement to improve quality of life led me to further studies in kinesiology, psychology, and education, which eventually combined naturally into a personal training profession. My focus is not only on sets and reps, but on the reasons and applications for health and wellness – interests that have drawn me to Foundation Training, and to spiritual study at an ashram in Trinidad.
My goal as a personal trainer is not only to help you meet your goals, but also to challenge you to broaden the work we do together into all areas of your life. Squats, for example, are not restricted to lifting heavy weights in a gym, but are practiced anytime one is moving between seated and standing positions. Meditation is not limited to sitting cross-legged with your eyes closed, but can also be applied to more complex and difficult situations in everyday life. Whether you are working, playing, doing chores, resting, or spending time with loved ones, every moment is an opportunity for health and fulfillment. I look forward to working with you to make your every moment count!
