Yoga came to me as a challenge by a dear friend over 10 yrs ago. It was the best challenge I have every met and I am so grateful to her.
 
Yoga is a gift that can bring real change in your life and in turn, bring positive change to people around you. The challenge came just in time as I was 20 years in as a business owner of 2 very busy hair salons in Toronto, Ontario and needed to find something for me. That was yoga. For the first time in a long time I found real peace and clam. I have always been athletic, running marathons, doing triathlons taking spin classes and lifting weights. These disciplines were all WORK-OUTS, I needed to WORK-IN.
 
Allowing myself to let go of what doesn’t serve me on and off the mat – that was the first step in connecting deeply to my practice and deciding to make it a priority in my life. Then I decided to take my practice one step further and become certified so that I can share yoga with everyone which gives me great joy. As a breath coach it is my privilege to guide my student through numerous breathing exercises that will help you connect to your parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous system, as there is a time and place for everything. We will discover how each breath with each asana will give you energy, calmness and strength all at the same time to help you maintain your flow. Always remember it’s your practice, showing kindness and compassion to self while still finding your edge. You will begin to experience a clarity on and off the mat and soon you’ll realize that your day just isn’t complete if you don’t get on your mat. It’s important to take time with self daily; looking inward and becoming aware of your body, free of distractions, cultivating physical mental and spiritual health. By practicing yoga, you begin to pay attention to your body and then and only then will you really feel your body, and then and only then can you give your body what it needs. Yoga is not the end all and be all of healthy living but when you have a opportunity to learn how you can heal your body from the inside out don’t turn it down. It can be the beginning of creating your super power.
