Project Description
A hotspot for birders
Being an important spot along the migration path of many birds and insects, Kingsville is a joyful place for bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts alike! At Estate of Health, we take pleasure in being a resting place for birds and other animals on their journeys too. With big mature trees and many native plants, we attract the most wonderful choruses and beautiful wildlife that the Carolinian Forest boasts.
Many species pass through here, and some, such as two Cooper’s Hawks return to build nests on the property every year. It is not unusual to spot Canadian Geese, cardinals, blue jays, robins, swallows, hummingbirds, wood peckers, wrens, wood creepers, finches, warblers, hawks, vultures and even bald eagles here every day from spring through autumn!
For all those bird lovers out there, stop at Estate of Health during your trip to Point Pelee which is just 20 minutes away! Spend the morning listening to peaceful melodies while you soak in the tub, and rent our bikes to take to the Point. Or make our gardens your sanctuary to return to after a long day hiking & bird watching. Add a massage or body treatment to soothe achy muscles from all your adventures to make it the perfect day!
Be sure to book your visit with us during the annual Festival of Birds at Point Pelee National Park. To check out options for staying nearby, local highlights, bike rentals and more to create your perfect birding getaway, click here.
