This class will explore “the sleep of yoga” (aka blanket yoga). This restful, guided meditative experience has ancient roots and modern influences. We will explore some gentle movement and breathwork to help prepare the body and mind to settle into the yoga nidra practice of relaxed awareness. Yoga nidra does not replace the importance of normative sleep but the practice can allow us access to deep levels of rest and restoration through the release of tension, increased resiliency and coherence, cultivation of balance and even bliss. This practice is suitable for all levels of practitioners.
